SoulxMaka - Starriness

Soul/Maka fanart I coloured. Brilliant lineart is done by the brilliant ~SweetJanie, which you can find here.

This fanart was part of an excercise in lighting, and part fanarty tribute to my newest fandom, Soul Eater.
I originally coloured it with subtle, cold colours. Then I upped the saturation for more vibrant colours, and liked it. O.o I didn't know which version I liked more, so I included both. ^.^;; Eheheh. Personally, I'm in love with big, bright vibrant colours so I prefer the second version ... anyone else? O.o

While colouring this, this song got stuck in my head. >.< IT'S SO APPROPRIATE. ^_^ THIS FANART HAS A SOUNDTRACK, AHAHAHA. I immediately downloaded it and listened to it while I was finishing this, and was like, ^______^

I named this piece 'Starriness', because in the Soul Eater ending theme, the AEN fansub team translated the phrase 'kuzu boshi' ( クズ星 ) as 'starriness', and I liked it. ^.^
